The final post: some facts about our trip around the world

So – looks like we’re done. It’s simply not possible to summarize the trip in one last post, so we’ll just throw out some random facts.

• Days on the road: 339
• Total kilometers traveled: 118’394 (73’566 miles)
• Countries visited: 25 countries on 4 continents
• Different modes of transportation: Car, bus, train, bicycle, motorbike, quad, camel, elephant, plane, boat, tuktuk, jeepney, and many things without names. Oh, and feet. Lots of feet.
• Most polluted day: A full day of scooter driving in Goa, India. My entire body was black by the time we got back.
• Most expensive night: 5* Hotel in Nagpur, India: 240 Dollars
• Cheapest (paid) night: Guesthouse in Kochi, India: 8 Dollars
• Hottest day: Sometime during the last week of 2014 in Werribee, Australia: 46 degrees Celcius.
• Coldest day: Near Mount Fuji, Japan: 0 degrees and snow.
• Most weird random moment: Singing „Vogulisi“ with 10 people from 4 countries at Diwali celebration in India.
• Best streetfood selection: Yangon, Myanmar. A foodies paradise.
• Memories created: Countless.

We’ll be back in Switzerland within the week – even if not for long… There is a place called Pacifica, near San Francisco, where we plan to settle down for the time being. There are still some obstacles to overcome… but if everything works out, awesome plans will take shape soon!
