Who are we? 

We, that’s Judith and Markus “Güdu” Scharnowski, a recently married young couple from Switzerland. As of August 31, 2014, we’ve left pretty much everything behind: We resigned from our jobs, left our apartments and sold most of our belongings. All that’s left is a few boxes in some attic, a minimalist backpack and the strong urge to see the world.

We are on a trip around the world. We don’t have a specific travel plan, we’d rather just follow our inspirations. We’re starting in Switzerland, and won’t be doing much flying, we plan to travel slow.

Who’s Toad? 

He’s an awesome character from the Nintendo Mario Games. Pretty fast in Mario Kart. And he’s coming with us to all places. We found him in a small shop on the Greek island Paros, and we hit it off immediately. He’ll be our companion for this trip. So, wherever Toad is, we won’t be far. Hence whereistoad.com.
